Organizer onboarding checklist
For organizers
Set up your account, verify your organization, and get ready to publish your first event.
Setting up your account and organization
Create your account at mak-an.io and go through onboarding: you'll set your organization's name, contact details, and other basics before you can publish anything.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is required to finish setting up your organization — you'll scan a QR code with an authenticator app and confirm a 6-digit code before your organization is created.
Verifying your organization
You can publish free events right away. A paid event can only go live once your organization's verification is approved, and a payout always requires it too.
From Settings → Organization → Verification, pick your profile (individual or business), enter your legal name, and upload the required documents — a national ID and a selfie for an individual; commercial registration, signatory ID, signatory authority and a beneficial-owner declaration for a business (an organization that owns venues also adds an optional venue licence).
Our team reviews each document and approves, rejects with a reason, or asks for more information — you can resubmit with a replacement file. Once approved, any payout account you add must be in that same verified legal name.
Accepting the organizer agreement
Before you can use most of the dashboard, an owner or admin on your team must accept the current organizer agreement — you'll see a reminder until then. Check-in is never blocked by this, so your door staff can keep scanning regardless.
Adding your team
Invite teammates from Settings → Organization → Members, with a role that matches what they do: owner and admin manage everything; manager runs events, tickets and money; editor edits events and tickets; scanner can only open the check-in page to scan tickets at the door; viewer can look but not change anything.
Checklist
Create your account at mak-an.io and fill in your organization's basic details.
Set up two-factor authentication — required before your organization is created.
Start your organization's verification if you plan to sell paid tickets or ever request a payout.
Have an owner or admin accept the organizer agreement.
Invite your team with the right roles, including a scanner role for door staff.
Free events don't need verification
Verification is only required to publish a paid event or to request a payout — you can create and publish a free event, and use the rest of the dashboard, before it's approved.
